"Futsuu" can be use as a adverb as noted above, but is it sort of like a "time marker" - "on a normal day" and it many times seen modify time.  "I wake up normally at 6"   It is also a noun that sometimes 1) prefix (one word)  like in the "normal train"  futsuu densha , or "normal person" "futsuu jin" or "normal mail" "futsuu bin", 2) as a "no adj" " as in "futsuu no koto" "a normal thing" or  "futsuu no hi" "a normal day" or as a straight noun "Futsuu" "as a rule".  It changes into a "i adj" by "futsudenai"
